Founded by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual place known for its home-cooked meals. After the restaurant caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different piece of land that was once a resort. The bustling restaurant became a hub for fantastic food and live performances. It has since changed owners, receiving an upgrade in 2013 at the West Olive location and adding a 2nd location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Dedication to Quality

Muskegon ( məs-KEE-gən) is a city in Michigan. It is the county seat of Muskegon County. Muskegon is known for fishing, sailing regattas, pleasure boating, and as a commercial and cruise ship port. It is a popular vacation destination because of the expansive freshwater beaches, historic architecture, and public art collection. It is the most populous city along the western shore of Michigan. At the 2020 United States Census the city population was 38,318. It is at the southwest corner of Muskegon Township, but is administratively autonomous.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
