Opened by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in establishment known for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different piece of land that was previously a resort. The bustling restaurant became a hotspot for excellent food and entertainment. It has since switched over to new owners, receiving an update in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and adding a 2nd location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Commitment to Quality

Muskegon ( məs-KEE-gən) is a city in Michigan. It is the county seat of Muskegon County. Muskegon is known for fishing, sailing regattas, pleasure boating, and as a commercial and cruise ship port. It is a popular vacation destination because of the expansive freshwater beaches, historic architecture, and public art collection. It is the most populous city along the western shore of Michigan. At the 2020 United States Census the city population was 38,318. It is at the southwest corner of Muskegon Township, but is administratively autonomous.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
