Opened by the Atherton family in 1960, the first Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in place beloved for its home-cooked meals. After the building suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a new piece of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant became a hub for terrific food and entertainment. It has now changed owners, receiving an update in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and adding a 2nd location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Dedication to Quality
Even as our dining establishment has been slightly altered over time, one thing has remained: our objective to deliver a superior dining experience complete with outstanding food and service. Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
