Our Story
Opened by the Athertons in 1960, the first Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in establishment known for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a new piece of land that was once a resort. The busy restaurant became a hub for terrific food and live performances. It has since switched over to new owners, getting an upgrade in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and getting a second location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality
Even as our restaurant has been slightly altered over time, a key thing hasn't changed: our objective to deliver an exceptional dining experience complete with impressive food and service. Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
