Founded by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual place beloved for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different plot of land that was once a resort. The busy restaurant was a hotspot for terrific food and live performances. It has now changed owners, getting an update in 2013 at the West Olive location and getting a 2nd location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality
Even as our restaurant has been slightly altered over time, a key thing hasn't changed: our objective to deliver a remarkable dining experience complete with impressive food and service. Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
