Opened by the Atherton family in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual establishment known for its home-cooked meals. After the building caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different piece of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant became a hub for terrific food and live performances. It has since changed owners, receiving an upgrade in 2013 at the West Olive location and getting a second location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality
Even as our restaurant has been slightly altered over time, a key thing has remained: our objective to provide a remarkable dining experience marked by outstanding cuisine and service. Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
