Opened by the Athertons in 1960, the first Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual establishment beloved for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reopened it on a different plot of land that was once a resort. The dynamic restaurant was a hub for fantastic food and live performances. It has now switched over to new owners, getting a remodel in 2013 at the West Olive location and adding a 2nd location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Dedication to Quality

Allegan County ( AL-ig-ən) is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 United States Census, the population was 120,502. The county seat is Allegan. The name was coined by Henry Rowe Schoolcraft to sound like a Native American word.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
