Our Beginnings
Founded by the Atherton family in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in establishment known for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reopened it on a new plot of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant was a hotspot for fantastic food and entertainment. It has now changed owners, receiving a remodel in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and adding a second location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality

Saugatuck is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Westport, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is in the southwest part of the town, on both sides of the Saugatuck River, extending south to where it enters Long Island Sound. North of Interstate 95, it occupies just the west side of the Saugatuck and continues north as far as U.S. Route 1 (Post Road). It is bordered to the north by Westport Village (the town center) and to the west by the city of Norwalk. The CDP includes the communities of Owenoke and Saugatuck Shores, as well as the Metro-North Railroad Westport station.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
