Our Story
Founded by the Athertons in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in place beloved for its home-cooked meals. After the restaurant suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different piece of land that was previously a resort. The busy restaurant was a hotspot for great food and entertainment. It has since switched over to new owners, getting an update in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and adding a second location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Dedication to Quality
Even as our restaurant has been slightly altered over time, a key thing has remained: our mission to provide a superior dining experience complete with outstanding food and service. Staying up to date with the latest culinary climate, we constantly bring in our ingredients from dependable purveyors. Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
