Opened by the Atherton family in 1960, the original Sandy Point Restaurant was a drive-in establishment beloved for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant caught fire in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different piece of land that was previously a resort. The dynamic restaurant became a hotspot for terrific food and live performances. It has since switched over to new owners, receiving an update in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and getting a 2nd location in Grand Rapids more recently.Our Dedication to Quality
Even as our restaurant has evolved over the years, a key thing has remained: our objective to provide an exceptional dining experience complete with outstanding food and service. Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
