Our Story
Founded by the Athertons in 1960, the first Sandy Point Restaurant was a casual place known for its home-cooked dishes. After the restaurant suffered fire damage in 1975, the Athertons reinvented it on a different piece of land that was previously a resort. The dynamic restaurant became a hotspot for great food and entertainment. It has since switched over to new owners, getting an upgrade in 2013 at the West Olive restaurant location and getting a 2nd location in Grand Rapids in 2020.Our Commitment to Quality

Kent Land District is one of the twenty land districts of Tasmania which are part of the Cadastral divisions of Tasmania. It was formerly one of the 18 counties of Tasmania. It is located on the southern tip of Tasmania. It is bordered by the Huon River to the north, and Picton River to the north-west. It includes Dover, Geeveston and Southport, and part of the Southwest National Park.
Had a solid dinner on the screened in porch here. Beet salad with hanger steak was delish, but a bit heavy on the dressing. I'd maybe get it on the side. Our toddler loved the mussels.
